DMG PTCA

Discovery Montessori of Georgia Parent-Teacher-Community Association (DMG PTCA) exists to support the school’s mission, is committed to building a community of lifelong learners, and is dedicated to facilitating the optimal intellectual, emotional, social, physical and spiritual development of children using Montessori educational methods. The PTCA’s role is to enhance the growth and development of the Discovery Montessori of Georgia community. The PTCA hosts monthly meetings as well as various social outings throughout the year such as Family Mixers, Field Days, and Cook-Outs.

1. To serve as a vehicle of parent involvement at school in support of teachers, classroom projects, and school activities
2. To encourage community among the children and parents and to create a “family atmosphere” through social events
3. To promote community involvement and positive public awareness of the school by helping to organize our involvement in community service and community celebrations
4. To enhance communications among parents/guardians and faculty and staff
5. To facilitate and promote fundraising with the school for program enrichment and operation of the school
